Reiki is an ancient healing method, over a thousand years old. The founder of the Reiki healing system was Dr Usui. Reiki is a safe, non-intrusive healing that naturally allows the body to rebalance itself and release blocked energy. It works on all aspects of our being – mind, body, emotions and spirit. Reiki is pronounced (Ray-key) it means Universal Life Force Energy.

During a treatment the client is fully clothed and either lie on a therapy couch or sit in a chair if they prefer. There may or may not be actual touch as the Reiki energy can be transmitted with the hands held above the body. Sometimes during a treatment a client may sense warmth or tingling and other clients may not sense anything…we are all different and the Reiki will work at a level that suits you. However most clients feel a sense of well-being and deep relaxation after a treatment.

Indian Head Massage originally came from India, thousands of years ago and in more recent years it has grown in popularity in the west. Indian Head Massage was a tradition practised daily by families in the east, being passed down from generation to generation. It was believed that massage promotes the body’s life-force and energy; it was a way of rejuvenating the body so keeping their hair healthy and shiny. Traditionally only the head was massaged but in the west the back, shoulders, arms, neck, face and ears are also included in the massage. The treatment is done in a seated position either with or without oils. The areas are massaged using firm yet gentle rhythmic movements that involve acupressure points called Marma Points.

Hot Stones Back Massage

Many years ago Hot Stones were used by Native Americans to help treat aching muscles. The technique was introduced in recent years by Mary Nelson, she called her style of Hot Stone Massage – La Stone Therapy.The stones are basalt, smooth black volcanic rock which absorb and retain the heat well. For a treatment the client will lie face down on a therapy couch. The stones are washed and heated in a special heating oven before each treatment. The therapy starts with a traditional Swedish Back Massage; then the heated stones are introduced along with the use of essential oils. As the stones cool, they are replaced with heated ones. Stones come in various shapes and sizes suitable for different muscle regions. Using the stones creates a deeper massage.

The ‘M’ Technique

The ‘M’ Technique Is a gentle structured touch technique that allows the client to deeply relax, letting go of busy thoughts and anxiety. It is suitable for anyone but it is especially suitable for people who are critically ill and very fragile, where traditional massage would not be appropriate. The technique is performed in a sequence of strokes at a set pressure and a set speed. It is carried out on the back, legs, feet, face, head, shoulders, arms and hands. As well as a full treatment it can also be split into hands/arms and legs/feet. The technique was created by Dr Jane Buckle, who at the time was working as an Intensive Care Nurse and wanted a technique that would calm and relax the patients. It can be performed with or without essential oils

Energy Field Healing is an advanced form of energy work. That helps support the energy field. Allowing it to rebalance and heal itself.

Our bodies are made up of an ‘Electromagnetic Field’ also known as the aura. The energy field contains a strong vertical axis known as the Central Channel. On the central channel are the chakras sometimes known as energy centres. The energy field then expands out from the body creating a higher frequency of vibration.

The busyness of our daily life runs through our energy field. The energy field allows us to feel all that is going on around us – good and bad. We are constantly receiving and exchanging energy all the time, in everything that we do and everyone we meet. If we are feeling strong and balanced these energy exchanges will just flow through our system but there are times we can feel overwhelmed by all that is happening and this can lead to imbalance, blockages and stagnation in our energy field. Then, we may feel tired, drained and ‘out-of-sorts’ which may lead to physical health problems. An Energy Field Healing treatment can help to remove any blockages or imbalance in the energy field. This helps create a strong healthy flow of energy allowing you to feel radiant, more positive and balanced with all that is going on in your life. Helping you to cope with all the busyness of life and achieve your full potential.

An Energy Field Healing treatment starts with the client standing so I can connect with their energy field. After a few minutes the client is asked to lie down on a therapy couch or to sit if they prefer. Then, I rebalance and clear their field using specialised techniques to remove any blockages or disturbances. At the end of the treatment the client stands again while I check that their field is balanced and that they are grounded. There is little or no touch during the treatment. The client remains fully clothed during the treatment.

Energy Field Healing can help with many physical, mental and emotional concerns. However, due to the high energy frequency of the treatment, it is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, wears a pacemaker or has epilepsy.

After a treatment clients usually feel more relaxed, balanced, focused and peaceful. The healing process from the treatment can continue for 3-4 weeks afterwards so it is advisable not to begin any other form of energy work such as Reiki etc.

EFT – Emotional Freedom Technique &
EMO – Energy in Motion

EFT is a form of psychological acupressure but without the needles. EFT is a stress relief tool that frees us from the baggage of negative thoughts. The foundation of EFT is based on the theory that if there is a free flow of energy in the body, there will be a feeling of well-being. Any negative thoughts small or large can block this energy causing pain and issues at all levels. A treatment involves tapping with the fingertips on the energy meridians, which lie just beneath the surface of the skin; on the head, chest and the hands. Along with the tapping of the energy meridians positive affirmations are spoken as well. The treatment is non-invasive and safe to use. The tapping helps reduce tension and promote a deeper mind-body connection.

Energy in Motion is an easy to use treatment for releasing energy blockages in the body, it works similar to EFT but it is a breathing technique which is used to release the blockages and allow energy to flow again. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with EFT
